WHO CREATED THIS WEB SITE ?

When this web site was created, I was 50 years old, an age 20 year olds may refer to as DND (darn near dead), This may come as a surprise to the younger surfers out there - once upon a time I was young (really). The problem that I have with being 50 is that I do not know how to act like a 50 year old - I feel like a teenage (except all of my neural connections were completed - unfortunately some are beginning to short out as the insulation degrades).

When this site was created, I was living in Vienna, Austria and had been living there since March 1999. Politics aside, I really like Austria - especially its Heurigen. I relocated to Vienna from Deep River, Ontario, Canada, where I have been living since January 1982. My contract in Vienna ended March 21, 2006 and I moved back to Deep River March 22, 2006. I rejoined Atomic Energy of Canada.

I obtained a BSc. in Co-op Chemistry from the University of Waterloo. Next, I obtained an MSc. in Biochemistry from McMaster University.

After completing my education, I traveled with two friends by car (actually, in a Volkswagen Westfalia camper) from Toronto, Ontario all the way to Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, in Argentina.  The highlights of my adventure were visits to the Maya and Aztec ruins in Mexico and Central America, the Inca ruins in South America (Machu Pichu in particular), and the Galapagos Islands.
